Publix Super Markets Inc. founder George Jenkins was known for his generosity and encouraged a "people helping people" culture. He wanted Publix associates and their families to be at their best financially - at every phase of life. In 1957, Mr. George saw his dream come true with the establishment of Publix Employees Federal Credit Union. PEFCU continues to honor Mr. George's mission by supporting Publix associates' personal financial needs at every step of their journey.
