Who are we?

Headquartered in Lakeland, FL, Publix Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU) is a member-owned co-operative that was founded in 1957 to meet the financial needs of Publix Super Markets Inc. associates and their family members. PEFCU maintains a five-star rating by Bauer Financial and boasts an “A+” in financial health.

When you join PEFCU you’re more than just a number. You are an owner of a thriving, not-for-profit cooperative. PEFCU, with over $1 billion in assets, is ranked in the top five percent of credit unions nation-wide. We have a strong, shared commitment to the financial well-being of our members. Are you Eligible?

The benefits of PEFCU membership are available to:

  • Retired and current associates of Publix Super Markets and their family or household members
  • Lone Palm associates and their family members
  • Family or household members of a current PEFCU member
  • City of Lakeland associates and their family members
  • Lakeland Automall associates and their family members
  • Regal Automotive associates of Lakeland, FL, and their family members
  • Bartow Ford associates and their family members
  • Larry Greenwald Insurance associates and their family members
  • United Hoist Equipment, Inc. associates and their family members
  • Wilde Honda associates, Sarasota, FL, and their family members

Joining Is Easy:

Minimum requirements for all PEFCU members:

  • Open a savings account (Prime Share Account) with a minimum deposit of $5
  • Maintain a minimum average daily balance of $50 within six months*

* After six months, if at any time your balance is less than $50, then a $2 monthly fee will be charged

 

To open account:

  • Submit an application online (click here); or
  • Call the Member Contact Center (1-800-226-6673) to request an application by mail; or
  • Print, complete, and sign application form found here; then mail to your nearest PEFCU branch office; or
  • Visit your local branch to join in person.

To open the Prime Share Account, $5 will need to be deposited into your Prime Share Savings Account. Send a check or money order along with your completed application to your nearest PEFCU location – Attn: Member Services for at least $5 made payable to PEFCU. Once your account is opened, you will receive a New Member Packet in the mail, which will include all your Important Account Information documents. Get list of office addresses and phone numbers ►
