“Mapping Out Your Financial Journey” Campaign

Official Rules

Publix Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU) continues our pledge to “Helping You Live Your Best Financial Life” by offering our Mapping Out Your Financial Journey campaign as a segment of our Financially Fresh program.  Financially Fresh is an educational platform to educate our members and the public about financial matters. We are thrilled to announce a set of extraordinary rewards for individuals who successfully participate in and complete specified paths as part of the program. There are five distinct paths, and participants who complete all the requirements in each path will have access to exclusive offers and will be entered into monthly drawings for special incentives.

There are four ways for participants to earn incentives*:

  1. Actively participate by watching videos, reading articles, or completing courses in any of the five paths.
  2. Complete any of the five paths.
  3. Complete the Auto Buying path and get approved for an auto loan.
  4. Complete the Home Ownership path and get approved for a mortgage.

196 prizes will be awarded for the drawings for a total retail value between $6,700 - $31,000.

Publix employees are eligible for additional incentives. See the Publix Employees’ Additional Incentives & Rules for additional participation disclosures.

General Rules & Regulations

1. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

2. EACH ENTRY WILL HAVE AN EQUAL CHANCE OF WINNING. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE AN INDIVIDUAL ENTRY'S CHANCES OF WINNING.

3. Odds of winning.  Odds of winning are based upon the number of entries. Based upon an estimate of 4,000 entries during the promotion, odds of winning a prize for the monthly drawings are 15 in 4,000. Odds of winning a prize for the quarterly drawings are 4 in 4,000.

4. Sponsor.  Publix Employees Federal Credit Union (the "Credit Union") is the sponsor. The Credit Union's address is 3005 New Tampa Highway, Lakeland, FL 33815.  

5. Entry Period.   January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025.

 

Eligibility.  To be eligible to win a prize in a monthly drawing, you must have a financially fresh account and actively participate in any of the paths, upon which you will automatically be entered to win the prizes. To be eligible to win a prize for a quarterly drawing, you must complete one or more of the paths during the quarter. To be eligible to receive the mortgage loan incentive, you must complete the “Home Ownership” path and get approved for a PEFCU mortgage within 45 days of completing the path. Approved mortgage applications must be received by December 31, 2025 and close within 120 days. Eligibility for the incentive will be considered for only one application. If the application is denied, the incentive will not be considered for future applications. Mortgage application approvals are subject to credit eligibility and property requirements. The purpose of the mortgage must be for property to be occupied as a primary residence. Manufactured homes and condos are excluded. Refinances and home equity loans are also excluded. An accepted Appraisal and clean Title are also required. To be eligible to receive the auto loan incentive, you must complete the “Auto Buying” path and get approved for a PEFCU auto loan within 90 days of completing the path. Approved auto loan applications must be received by December 31, 2025, and be funded within 60 days. Auto loans must be from a financial institution other than PEFCU.  Refinanced PEFCU auto loans are not eligible. Eligibility for the incentive will be considered for only one application. If the application is denied, the incentive will not be considered for future applications. Only the primary account holder is eligible. Joint account holders are not eligible. You must set up your direct deposit within one year of completing the Savings Grove pathway. Add in one month worth of deposit before receiving the incentive.

You must be at least 14 years or older and have a valid Social Security number; participants under the age of 18 must have consent of a parent or guardian.   You must be a legal resident of the United States of America.  This promotion is not open to residents of New York or Rhode Island and anywhere the promotion is prohibited by law.  You do not have to be a credit union member to qualify for the incentives.  Eligibility for membership can be found at https://www.pefcu.com/about/about-us/membership-eligibility/.  Credit Union employees, officials, and their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling, or child living in the same household) are eligible to win. The PEFCU associate auto loan discount cannot be combined with this offer.

6. How to enter.  Visit the Financially Fresh website at https://financiallyfresh.pefcu.com for the “Budgeting”, “Savings”, “Credit”, “Auto Buying”, and/or “Home Ownership” paths; upon participation and/or completion you will automatically be entered into the monthly and/or quarterly drawings.  Limit one entry per person.

7. Determination of Winner.  Winners will be determined by random drawing. Monthly drawings will be held on January 31, February 28, March 31, April 30, May 31, June 30, July 31, August 31, September 30, October 31, November 30, and December 31, 2025. Quarterly drawings will be held March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31, 2025 at the Credit Union’s Corporate Offices located at 3005 New Tampa Highway, Lakeland, FL 33815, from entries during the Entry Period.  Winners will be notified in random order by communication via the contact information provided by the participant.  Winner must claim the prize within ten (10) business days after notification. If a prize is unclaimed within ten (10) calendar days after notification is sent, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be drawn. Winners must comply with these Official Rules or will be disqualified. Winner’s accounts with the Credit Union (if any) must be in good standing. If winner’s accounts are not in good standing, the Credit Union may require the accounts to be brought into good standing prior to awarding the prize. The Credit Union reserves the right to determine the identity and eligibility of the winners in its sole discretion in accordance with these rules. 

8. You need not be present to win. 

9. Prizes & Incentives.  Prizes will be randomly awarded. Prizes for monthly drawings will be a visa, amazon, Publix, or restaurant gift card valued between $25 and $150. Prizes for quarterly drawings will be a visa, amazon, Publix, or restaurant gift card valued at $250. Prizes have no resale value. The incentive for eligible auto loans will be .25% off of the qualifying annual percentage rate “APR” which cannot be used with any other promotion. The incentive for eligible mortgage loans will be $100 towards closing costs. The Credit Union reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should the featured prizes become unavailable for any reason. Prizes cannot be substituted, assigned, or transferred by winners.  Prizes are “AS IS” and “WHERE IS”; the Credit Union is not responsible for the condition of any prize and makes no warranties or representations whatsoever concerning the prizes or prize values. If the actual value of a prize is less than the stated value, the difference will not be awarded. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.

10. Publicity.  The winner may be announced on the Credit Union’s social media pages and other media. If you are selected as a winner, you agree that your first name, last name initial, and city of residence will be published in winner announcements and listed in the Credit Union’s marketing materials, including web page, social media, and print ads, without compensation. If you consent to being photographed or provide a photograph, you agree that your likeness, including photographs, may be published in the Credit Union’s marketing materials, including newspaper ads and social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law; likenesses of minors will not be published without the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. Taxes.  Winners will be responsible for all applicable taxes, if any.

12. Consent. By participating in this promotion, winner consents in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. § 227), to the Credit Union contacting the telephone numbers and email addresses provided by the participant, using natural or artificial voice calls, automatically dialed calls, prerecorded messages, text messages and any other electronic media. This consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services; this consent may be revoked.

13. Release.  All decisions of the Credit Union in regard to this promotion are final and binding. By entering, participants release and agree to hold harmless the Credit Union and its directors, officers, and employees from all liability in connection with the promotion or any prize won. The Credit Union is not responsible for any loss which may occur in connection with the promotion. By entering the promotion, you agree to hold the Credit Union harmless from any liability arising from participation in the promotion or the acceptance, receipt, possession, or misuse of the prize. The Credit Union and each of its officers, directors, employees, members, and representatives and agents are not responsible for any negligence, claims, liability, injury, property loss, or other damages of entrants or winners arising from, or in connection with, acceptance, receipt, possession, or use or misuse of prizes awarded or participation in this promotion. The Credit Union is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by tampering, hacking, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with the promotion. All decisions of the Credit Union in regard to this promotion are final and binding.

14. Binding Arbitration, Class Action Waiver, Jury Waiver.  If you are a member of the Credit Union, the Credit Union’s terms and conditions of your account apply to this promotion and are incorporated herein by reference, including the provisions related to arbitration and waiver of class action and jury trial.  If you are not a member of the Credit Union or if the Credit Union elects instead to proceed under the terms of this paragraph, then this paragraph will apply. You agree to attempt to informally settle any disputes or causes of action arising out of or connected with this promotion or any prizes awarded. If informal attempts do not succeed, you agree that upon the election of either you or the Credit Union any claim or dispute or cause of action arising out of or connected with this promotion will be resolved by BINDING ARBITRATION administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules and Mediation Procedures and Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes. As a result, you will GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT to assert or defend your rights under these Official Rules (EXCEPT for matters within SMALL CLAIMS COURT jurisdiction). You acknowledge that by agreeing to BINDING ARBITRATION you understand and agree to the following terms: 

 

  • Your rights will be determined by a NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR and NOT a judge or jury. You understand and agree that YOU ARE WAIVING THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY.
  • Arbitration proceedings provide you a FAIR HEARING, but the arbitration procedures are SIMPLER AND MORE LIMITED THAN RULES APPLICABLE IN COURT.
  • Arbitration decisions are as enforceable as any court order and are subject to VERY LIMITED REVIEW BY A COURT.
  • ARBITRATORS can award the same REMEDIES including DAMAGES that a COURT can award. o   Any ARBITRATION under these Official Rules WILL BE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. You understand and agree that YOU ARE WAIVING THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE AS A CLASS REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASS MEMBER IN A CLASS ACTION.
  • The PLACE OF ARBITRATION shall be in the federal district WHERE YOU RESIDE.
  • WE WILL REIMBURSE YOU FOR ANY FILING, ADMINISTRATION, AND ARBITRATOR FEES as imposed by the American Arbitration Association. However, if the arbitrator determines that YOUR CLAIM IS FRIVOLOUS, UNWARRANTED, OR BROUGHT FOR AN IMPROPER PURPOSE (in accordance with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Section 11(b)) YOU WILL RETURN TO US ANY FILING, ADMINISTRATION, AND ARBITRATOR FEES WE PAID.
  • If YOU PREVAIL on the merits of your claim in arbitration, WE WILL PAY YOUR ATTORNEYS' FEES. You will NOT be required to pay OUR ATTORNEYS' FEES IF WE PREVAIL.

  1. Termination or Suspension.  The Credit Union is not liable for any incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information or for any error or malfunction of any kind in connection with the promotion. If the promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, force majeure, frustration of purpose or any other cause, the Credit Union reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without advance notice, to terminate or suspend the promotion, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way, without any further obligation to eligible persons or entrants.
  2. Void Where Prohibited by Law.  This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. 
  3. Choice of Law. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and the Credit Union in connection with the promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to choice of law rules. 
  4. No Affiliation or Endorsement.  This promotion is not endorsed by or affiliated with Publix Supermarkets, Inc. or its subsidiaries or affiliates.

Publix Super Market and PEFCU Associates Additional Incentives & Rules

Current Publix Super Market and PEFCU Associates who participate in and/or complete the Financially Fresh paths will have access to additional incentives.

There are three ways for participants to earn additional incentives:

  1. Complete the Savings path and establish or maintain direct deposit in a PEFCU deposit account.
  2. Complete the Auto Buying path.
  3. Complete the Home Ownership path.

General Rules & Regulations

  1. Additional Incentives.  The incentive for eligible savings accounts will be $25 deposited directly into your savings account within 45 business days of completing the "Savings" path and having direct deposit in a PEFCU account for a minimum of 1 month. Direct deposit must be set up within 6 months of completing the path. The incentive for eligible auto loan applications will be a $50 gas gift card. The incentive for eligible mortgage applications will be a free rate lock good for 60 calendar days, a free credit report currently valued between $65 and $125; and a $100 Lowe’s or Home Depot gift card. Prizes have no resale value. The Credit Union reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should the featured prizes become unavailable for any reason. Prizes cannot be substituted, assigned, or transferred by winners.  Prizes are “AS IS” and “WHERE IS”; the Credit Union is not responsible for the condition of any prize and makes no warranties or representations whatsoever concerning the prizes or prize values. If the actual value of a prize is less than the stated value, the difference will not be awarded. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or transferable. Prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer.
  2. Eligibility.  You must be a current Publix Super Market Associate or PEFCU Associate.  To be eligible to receive the savings incentive, you must complete the “Savings” path and have established direct deposit within one year of completing the Savings Grove pathway and have at least one month of direct deposit from Publix Supermarkets or PEFCU in a PEFCU account. For participants with joint accounts, only the Primary Accountholder is eligible to receive the incentive. To be eligible to receive the mortgage loan incentive, you must complete the “Home Ownership” path and submit a mortgage loan application by December 31, 2025. The approved mortgage application must be received within 45 days of completing the “Home Ownership” path. To be eligible to receive the auto loan incentive, you must complete the “Auto Buying” path and submit an auto loan application by December 31, 2025. The approved auto loan application must be received within 90 days of completing the “Auto Buying” path.
